An interesting mix in this upcoming season with some teams likely to have improved rosters.

London Raiders will have a slightly different look this season and Oxford City Stars have have made some interesting signings. They have two import D men, one of whom is a giant with a big rep.

I think that the surprise package this season may well be Bracknell Hornets. They have just announced a third import in Matt Ovenden to "cover" occasions when either one of their two very good Czech (I think) guys cannot ice. They ave also added some real good Brit players and we know that in Wride they have a very good goalie.

The situation at Cardiff seems to be getting even more heated. The club has a terrific reputation for producing quality hockey players and it is a bit sad to see the level of acrimony which has developed.

Very uncertain as to whether the Cardiff NIHL1 team will be competitive or whether it will consist almost entirely of young junior players.

It has been suggested that Phil Manny and Ross Wilkinson may be joining London Raiders. Don`t know, at all, how credible that suggestion is but, if true, and with (I presume) McGrath in their line-up too, London could be a very physical outfit again.

Kyle Flemmington has trialled with Edinburgh Capitals and has now moved from Oxfod to the EIHL team. Oxford want to sign another import and apparently have one lined up.

Don`t suppose Oxford can be too impressed with losing their apparently signed import to another British team - not cricket that ! Probably be some fans disappointed that they won`t be getting a glimpse of Flemmington in NIHL.
