13-1, i think lol

Really impressed with the Tangs performance. 10 Times better than last year Wink

Good result.

Was that a double pointer ???

No, not a double pointer - ENL2 is 1 home and 1 away this season so all Mustangs games are for normal points.

It was 12-1 in the end.

Excellent perfomance by the Mustangs in a game that was quite physical and feisty (even before it started!).

The opening goal was a breakaway by Marvin McKenzie - his first senior goal and very well taken.

Very physical game by both sides even b4 the whistle jamie smith got flatened by sum1 think it was 1 of their tubby trowls.. seems after that jamie was a target but he gets in players faces and gets the job done fort he was very effective.. its hard to pick out individual performances, some very good goals and seems mustangs have bags of energy that iow could not contain can see them being the team to beat, shame got to wait so long b4 the bristol game.,.
well done to marv on his 1st well took goal and mom..

Was impressed with Marvin McKenzie, and Loyde Fuller, both played hard and caused a lot of problems for the opponents Marvin caused havoc in the goal crease for the opponents and despite giving up a fair bit of size on most occaisions he stayed with it took the buffeting and jossled for position, Loyde was full of energy, throwing the body and skating hard, woudln't mind then getting a call up to a couple of dynamos games and put on the 4th line with baxter and get a couple of shifts with the instructions of baiscally get out there and play hard, which i am sure they woudl be more than capable of and maybe impress some of the mo's fans, I believe thy will.

The Guy that shoved Jamie into the net as the players skated round before the game started was number 9 Rich, the same guy later then Elbowed Jamie in the face which resulted in him being chucked from the game.

I don't think you can be called up for a couple of games (I think theres age thing).

I'd agree about Lloyd, but Marv, not so much. I know Marv as a player and a person, I think another couple of seasons with the Tangs and he may be an option, at the moment I think he's a little short (in ability as opposed to build).

There is some history from last season between Matt Drake and Wightlink’s tub of lard Adam Rich, and as the teams skated out for the face off they were having a chat. The next thing is that Jamie Smith is having a chat. The players are going clockwise, as usual, and as A Rich and J Smith go past the far side of the goal by the Zamboni gate A Rich pushes J Smith into the side of the net. Jamie went full length along the ice and slid into the end boards towards cafe corner. Cloutman was having a good look and spoke to both players after the anthem (I think).

At just short of 28 minutes Palin got 2 for tripping. I didn’t see what started this off - it was down just past the timekeeper’s table, so not easy to see from Block 4.

I did see Adam Rich knock over one of our players after the whistle had gone. It turned out that it was J Smith, and he stayed down for a bit but was apparently unhurt.

Adam Rich was thrown out and I saw a posting on the IoW forum that said that he got 5 + game for slew footing and continues “... but Adam says it was a wrong call as it was an elbow to the head”.

Not the sharpest tool then? Hopefully Rocky will get the nod to batter him in one of their games then, preferably at home, so we can all enjoy the moment.

Yeah this was the guy they proudly announced on the website as their enforcer.

Very little hockey ability, in fact he was shocking, had a good fight with Rocky last year, its on you tube.
