Mustangs won 9 - 2, I believe.

How many skaters did Slough bring?

Someone told me that it was about 9, so if that's correct, a fairly respectable score for Slough!! Especially considering the tonking that Streatham got last week.

Slough had 6 skaters and a goalie.

However the six skaters were good players, 3 lines of them would be pushing for the title.

I thought there was a rule that anything less than 8 players was awarded 5-0 or did I dream this up?

I am surprised that Slough struggle to get a side together, given that Guildford/Bracknell/Slough/Oxford all have ENL1/EPL sides you'd think there would be a bigger pool (than in more remote locations) of players coming out of juniors/rec looking to get into league teams.

Good result for the Mustangs though, win is a win.

warren - you are right but isn't it better to get a game played than just say many thanks! Besides a 7 goal difference is more than 5!

Yes there is a rule of 11 skaters plus goalie, but this would rarely be called. When Slough came to Streatham with 8 skaters we could have called the game 5-0 but what team would want to beat a short benched team that way? certainly not me. Would rather play and lose rather than take it on a technicality. luckily we beat them so no need for 5-0 ruling.

I stand to be corrected but I think that only applies to junior games.

He didn't on Sunday and appears to have only played for them 3 times this year according to Malcolm Preen's stats page (a process of elimination will get you his stats Wink )

Yes, I wondered if that was him! Admittedly, it was a loaded question!

The next one was going to be how did they manage to fit all those letters across his jersey ...

He has had that description on Malcolms Preen's stats site for quite a few years now. I remember him getting a match penalty at the Ice Bowl a few years back in an U16s game and then proceeding to climb up the stands to attack some spectators (a la Hanson brothers!!!).
