"PLAYERS MOVE BETWEEN STREATHAM AND CHELMSFORD.

Following two reverses over the last weekend at the hands of Streatham and Invicta, English Premier League side Chelmsford Chieftains have approached Streatham to release the club’s new net minder, Andy Moffat. However, moving in the opposite direction is Chelmsford’s Sean Easton.

“In signing Moffat” said Dean Birrell “ I always knew that there would be a danger of a Premier League club coming after him – although I hadn’t expected it to happen quite this soon! However, Chelmsford have just come through a very difficult week losing to two English National League sides on consecutive days and obviously thought that the squad needed urgently strengthening. As a result I’ll be looking to sign another netmider to replace Andy and hope to make an announcement in the near future. However, in the meantime we’re fortunate in having cover within the squad.”

“We’ve already taken steps to strengthen our defense this season, but an opportunity arose to sign Sean Easton from Chelmsford and so we’ve taken it. He’s a strong defender and will be an excellent addition to the roster. Over the last two seasons he’s performed very well in the Premier League and he’ll do a good job for Streatham.”

That statement is actually complete rubbish. Moffat was at our game last week, and said he was only training with Streatham, not playing for them.

Seems to be that there was some communication by-pass between the player and the management.

What's Adam Noctor up to?

Also, what's Matt Van der Velden up to this year? I thought he'd got lost under a pile of kit in a Chelmsford team house, but I'm surprised they went for Moffs rather than him.

Andy Moffat is a great keeper who I am surprised wasn't snapped up a lot earlier... Chelmsford going with Sutton and Robinson feels a bit light anyway - moffat/sutton would be a better combo.
